GREAT PROGRAMME FOR THE START OF SPRING

Valencia is the best place to enjoy theatre, opera and music.
March sees the start of a spring filled with enjoyable and enriching activities; a programme filled with unmissable dates. Opera lovers can enjoy The Bartered Bride by Bedřich Smetana at the Palau de les Arts from 3rd to 9th of March. The work is one of the best examples of the comic opera genre and is directed by Tomás Netopil. On the 13th we can enjoy ourselves with the maestro Lorin Maazel with a programme comprising Tchaikovsky's Suite No. 3 and Sibelius's Symphony No. 2. Regular theatre-goers are in luck; The Marquise of O, directed by Magüi Mira and starring Amaia Salamanca, will run at the Teatro Olimpia from 3rd to 14th of March. This will also be the month for fans of musicals. ABBA The Concert will be performed at the Teatro Olimpia on the 3rd of March, and Mamma Mia is at the Teatro Principal from the 18th of February to the 28th of March.
